Worship
Worship (noun): the rites or services through which people show their adoration, devotion, and respect for a deity
The ways in which we worship the Lord take on many forms, from personal meditation & prayer to singing songs of praise to congregational prayer.
At Auxvasse Christian Church, our primary method of communal worship is through our Sunday Services.
Sundays
9:45am—10:00am: Praise singing, listing of joys & concerns
10:00am—11:00am: Sunday School
11:00am—12:00pm: Communion, Sharing of Tithes & Offerings, Pastor’s Sermon, Singing of Hymns
There are occasional pastor’s classes beginning at 12:00pm. These will be announced in the Calendar, when applicable.
Wednesdays
Our Wednesday Activities provide a ‘renewal’ of spiritual energy as we go through our weekly hustle & bustle. These activities include youth & adult Bible study, Flipside, choir practice. The Board meets once a month on the third Wednesday of the month to discuss church business in lieu of choir practice.
As a congregation of the Disciples of Christ, we follow the Disciples’ proscribed schedule of readings from the Bible for church services during the course of the year, or Lectionary.
